The new units at 24 and 26 Earl Haig Road are the latest existing buildings to be modernised by Frasers Property on the estate to meet demand for industrial, trade-counter and warehouse properties.
The high-quality redevelopment project, which involved Glasgow based surveyors, EPCA, and Hillington Park based construction firm Lochlie Construction Group, was completed in just 22 weeks, on time and within budget.
Works included the replacement of the asbestos roofs with new composite insulated roof panels, external overcladding to elevations, full office and WC refurbishment with LED lighting and new energy efficient electric heating throughout resulting in the EPC of the two 5,000 sq ft buildings being immensely improved. In addition, the external yards were excavated fully and recreated in tarmac to replace the previous tenant specific yards.
Greg MacDonald, project manager for Frasers Property said: “The project team worked efficiently to complete the conversion in less than six months and as a result we have brought two modern premises to the market with significantly improved environmental credentials. These fully upgraded units have already attracted significant occupier interest and we are confident they will be under offer soon.”
Hillington Park, home to over 500 organisations employing over 8,000 people, is located just two minutes from the M8 motorway, seven miles west of Glasgow’s city centre and three miles from Glasgow International Airport.
